The Himbaza Initiative, led by Gate of Hope Ministries International, empowers East African refugee churches in Louisville, KY, to fully include children in worship and prayer practices. “Himbaza,” meaning “praise” in Kinyarwanda, seeks to bridge generational, cultural, and linguistic gaps that leave children disengaged in traditional refugee church settings.
